What do you think the bathroom designs for 2023 will be like?

I’ve always been passionate about interior design. There’s something wonderful about picking out furniture, decor items, lighting, the colors of the wall, and even the wallpaper.

I remember that when I moved into my first apartment, I was extremely excited to furnish it and call it home. I couldn’t think of an aesthetic or style to choose because I had all sorts of ideas, and I thought they were all good.

So I decided to listen to myself and include everything that I wanted. At the end of the day, it was my home, right? So I created a different style for every single room.

I like warm and natural colors. If we keep things too simplistic it looks sterile. Giving a feature wall in something natural is fine but don’t overwhelm a smaller sized room with too much color. A bathroom is to remain tranquil.

I certainly hope these are not indicative of the new bathroom styles. These are all too sterile and uninviting. They scream, “Don’t touch!” Can you imagine these same photos after everyone used the bathroom? Where does one store one’s things? Can you imagine children using these spaces, spilling water on the perfect floors, messing up the perfect counters, wet towels lying around, etc.? No thanks. Way too minimalist and cold for me – I prefer to live in a home, not a museum.
