Subway tile

Subway tiles have taken the throne, as they skyrocket in popularity and find their way into kitchens and bathrooms all over the house.

Even if this style has become more popular on walls, subway tile floors are there on every “dream bathroom floor” you might search on Google.

Apparently, there’s something about these rectangles that people seem to adore.

Subway tiles can offer a sought-after vintage look, which is reminiscent of New York subways in the early 1900s. What’s really great about them is that they are also extremely easy to modernize. You can easily pick from various colors, besides the traditional white, and use more contemporary layouts.

Linear tile

Linear floor tile is better be used as an accent rather than as a whole floor covering.

In reality, these are tiny tiles, which are mixed with various colors and materials to create high contrast.

Designers are using this particular style to combine glass, stone, and metal. You could also see linear floor tile as an accent piece around entryways. It’s a very modern and popular approach that creates certain abstract looks, like “waterfall” and “bamboo” patterns.

And when the right color combination comes on stage, you can really create some of the most interesting abstract looks of bamboo or water cascading over your floor.

Triangle tile

Identical to a diamond shape, triangle floor tiles are extremely versatile additions to your floor. You might opt for a classic triangle dot pattern with a marble look, or you could also go with contrasting grout and various colors.

For example, with triangle tiles, there are many opportunities to build various eye-catching shapes, such as diamonds and hexagons. In other words, this is a rather versatile option, that will allow you to go in various directions.

Let’s be honest, it’s always better to have more options, right?
