3. Remote control

Okay, if you were fine with the first thing mentioned in this article, what about your remote control? Maybe it’s one of the things you don’t clean enough, although it shouldn’t.

This device is touched by all the members of your household, which means that it has a major opportunity to gather germs and bacteria. There are lots of them. Side note: when you go to a hotel room, you’d better disinfect the remote, because it’s one of the most germ-ridden items there.

Make sure you clean your remote control once a week and use disinfecting wipes to kill any bacteria, especially when it’s cold outside and colds and flu can’t wait to make some victims.

While you’re paying attention to your channel changer, don’t forget to show your TV some love too. Use a microfiber cloth to swipe your television screen once a week, and make sure you wipe the gadget too (don’t spray directly on your device, just into your cloth) to prevent dust buildup in crevices, speakers, and vents.
