1. Classy black and white touch

The combo of black and white will always be one of the best ever, regardless of where you use it. The fashion industry is crazy about it too, and plenty of times we’ve seen designers using the sharp, classic, and bold contrast of these two colors over and over again.

You don’t need an interior designer to tell you that this beautiful combination is all you need to completely transform the look of your living room. You can easily turn this into an easy DIY project that won’t take too much time out of your day. All you have to do is get a black and white piece, and you’re all set.

If you have white curtains, a black chair will look absolutely marvelous against them. You can also get some black and white pillows to put on your chairs and sofa, for a nice pop of classiness you’ll absolutely adore.

…What do you think about this easy DIY?

2. Best-looking coffee table

It seems like the majority of people focus all their attention on the formal dining room table, but let us tell you that the coffee table needs some love too. You know that small things make a big difference, so why not make your coffee table the star of the show?

Here’s what you need to do in order to make the best out of your DIY: imagine that you’re in a fancy hotel and you see the most beautiful coffee table you’ve ever seen. Wouldn’t you love to have the same look in your home? Of course, you don’t need to have the exact same objects to make this a success, so all you need are a few good-looking books and magazines, a classy and simple flower vase, a nice-scented candle, and that’s basically it.

3. The dream bathroom

If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it’s the value of comfort in our own beautiful and cozy homes. So how ’bout you turn your bathroom into the most relaxing oasis ever? There’s nothing a little DIY creativity can’t do, especially when it comes to achieving the perfect staycation style.

A great way to make yourself feel like you’re staying at a beachy resort while you’re actually at home is by transforming your bathroom into a tropical sanctuary. Get a tropical wallpaper in neutral colors or green tones with leaf shapes on it to DIY your statement wall. After that, get some plants that will improve the air quality as well as the room’s color and scents, such as eucalyptus, bamboo, or peace lily.

You can take your DIY project a step further and buy some natural-finished objects, like a straw hamper and a wooden lapboard, to give your bathroom an oceanside vibe while also making the best out of the functionality of your space.

4. Kitchen shelves

Whether you cook each and every day or once a week and then meal prep, chances are that you’re still using your kitchen on a daily basis. And that’s why we have a great DIY suggestion for you: what do you think about building a good-looking and efficient two or three-tiered shelf?

It will save you a lot of space, especially if your cupboards are already full, and you can easily store all the things that you want there, whether it’s cups, bowls, or plates.

5. Mirror

Easy DIY with a classic touch of Hollywood-style glamour? Count us in! If you’ve read any of our articles, you already know that we believe mirrors can look fantastic in every single room of your house, especially in the living room.

Besides giving it a classy and polished style, it also has the ability to make a room appear larger than it actually is. If you don’t like the option of hanging it on your wall and you prefer something else, place it on top of a desk, a bit tilted, so that it won’t fall. Add some scented candles and maybe a vase of flowers to your desk, and you’ll have a simple yet sophisticated look.

6. Cozy reading spot

Do you have a designated reading nook? We’d like one as well! But if you don’t, there’s no need to be sad about it because we have a great DIY tip for you. If you have enough space in your living room, invest in a beautiful and relaxing day bed and cover it with cozy blankets and pillows for a welcoming and homey vibe.

The best place to put the day bed is next to a window so that you can have plenty of natural light as well as a comfy and relaxing feeling when it’s cold outside. It will easily turn into your favorite spot in the house, and you can use this furniture item in many ways other than as a reading spot. Some of these include a sitting area, the perfect place for a mid-day nap, and a lounging area as well.

7. Re-style your bookshelf

You might not have a huge bookshelf like people studying at Hogwarts did, but it doesn’t mean yours can’t be just as impressive as this one (of course, in a different way). Whether you have a classical or more modern bookshelf, a little DIY can go a long way, especially when it comes to making books pop.

Speaking of books, break up the monotony of a wall full of albums and publications by adding some beautiful art pieces, such as sculptures, vases, or even paintings. This way, you’ll create a gorgeous look that will give off the feeling that you’re actually in a fancy library or a stylish cafe.

Another thing you can consider doing, especially if you have plenty of brightly colored books in your collection, is to color-coordinate them. Not only will it make the entire room feel breezy and playful, but it will also make your beloved publications stand out more.
