7. Bold tiling

It’s official, according to interior designers: mosaic flooring in unique designs and hues will be the norm in bathrooms in 2023. Bathroom floors are often smaller than those of other rooms, making them an ideal location for a more expensive tile that won’t break your piggy bank.

Besides that, they no longer see the commonplace large-format floor tiles. Experts added that these intricate mosaics make the floor a focal point and provide a terrific chance to inject a healthy dose of pattern and color into a bathroom. So if you feel like you want a dramatic change, go for bold tiling!

I like warm and natural colors. If we keep things too simplistic it looks sterile. Giving a feature wall in something natural is fine but don’t overwhelm a smaller sized room with too much color. A bathroom is to remain tranquil.

I certainly hope these are not indicative of the new bathroom styles. These are all too sterile and uninviting. They scream, “Don’t touch!” Can you imagine these same photos after everyone used the bathroom? Where does one store one’s things? Can you imagine children using these spaces, spilling water on the perfect floors, messing up the perfect counters, wet towels lying around, etc.? No thanks. Way too minimalist and cold for me – I prefer to live in a home, not a museum.
