1. Marigolds

Marigold is a flower known for its endurance and versatility. This plant can thrive in almost any type of soil and withstand a large variety of environmental conditions. This is the reason why Marigold is an easy-to-care-for flowering plant, and it is ideal for beginner gardeners or for those who do not spend a lot of time at home and don’t have the time to dedicate to their garden.

Why can marigolds thrive in difficult environmental conditions? Because they have the ability to adapt to different types of soil. You can have loamy, sandy, or clay soil, and they will still grow as beautifully as in potting soil. Moreover, they are drought-tolerant and can survive with a bare minimum of water, which means that they are a great pick for areas with low rainfall.

When it comes to how much sunlight they prefer, you should know that they have a preference but can also go along with what you give them (but do not keep them away from the sun). Yes, they prefer a lot of sunlight; they can endure the heatwaves in the summer but can also survive with partial sunlight.

Another plus for these goldish flowering plants is that they are very resistant to a lot of common diseases and pests. This makes them not only fine but great considering the little maintenance they require.

If marigolds have tickled your curiosity and interest so far, you should also know that they can be grown from seeds that are affordable, and they will self-seed and produce new plants every year. Marigolds give your garden, and your house the color that it needs and the color that you need. Their tones are so bright and powerful that not only everyone’s eyes will be on them, but your house’s heart will be where marigolds are.
