Winterberry

Winterberry comes from swampy parts of eastern North America, which makes it only natural for these plants to prefer growing in loamy, moist, acidic soil. What’s even better, it can easily live in soils with poor drainage.

The woody shrub can easily reach 3 to 12 feet in height, depending on the type. Winterberry is dioecious, which means that you will have to find a corresponding plant of the opposite genre to grow in its proximity, so the plant can bear fruit. Make sure you prune your plants so they can have a nice shape during early spring before the new growth starts.
