6. High-quality materials

A place to shut the door, run a bath, and forget about how crazy the world is at times is a must for everyone. Experts say that nowadays, customers value high-quality, low-maintenance bathrooms more than ever, and they’re prepared to spend the going rate to have them.

People want working, high-quality plumbing in their bathrooms, and they’re willing to pay for it. And they’re right. If you’re on the fence about paying extra money for the bathroom of your dreams, think of it as an investment. You’ll spend more now, but you’ll save in the future.

Large-format porcelain tiles that are simple to clean and have a minimal design are constantly in demand, as are bathrooms that are brightened by natural light and have sleek, modern plumbing fixtures.

There are many customers who will spend extra for the premium features they want in the precious alone time they have, such as soaking baths and rainshower heads.

I like warm and natural colors. If we keep things too simplistic it looks sterile. Giving a feature wall in something natural is fine but don’t overwhelm a smaller sized room with too much color. A bathroom is to remain tranquil.

I certainly hope these are not indicative of the new bathroom styles. These are all too sterile and uninviting. They scream, “Don’t touch!” Can you imagine these same photos after everyone used the bathroom? Where does one store one’s things? Can you imagine children using these spaces, spilling water on the perfect floors, messing up the perfect counters, wet towels lying around, etc.? No thanks. Way too minimalist and cold for me – I prefer to live in a home, not a museum.
