Paints
If you’re renovating a room or some of your furniture, be sure to let some fresh air circulate. These household lung hazards often release potentially harmful chemicals called VOCs into the air when you open the paint can and even as the color dries.
The toxic chemicals in them range from simply irritating things to stuff that can be recognized as carcinogens, formaldehyde included. We suggest putting a fan in your window to pull air out while the paint is drying and take any furniture that you’re redoing outside.
Mold
Any mold that has grown on your walls, bathrooms, or anywhere else in your home contains a lot of harmful microbes that can lead to severe respiratory allergies, which could lead to lung damage and asthma.
So, if this household lung hazard lurks in your home, be sure to handle the situation IMMEDIATELY!
