Water won’t fill the drum accordingly
One of the last alarming signs that’s time to change your old washing machine is when you see that water doesn’t fill the drum. This particular issue may be connected to the hose. If both the hot and cold water are working, the issue may be with the water intake valve. This should be determined by an authorized technician.
Your drum might also have the issue of filling up with water but not whirling properly. Check the belts and lid switch to make sure they are functioning properly. Belts are fairly simple to repair, but fixing a broken lid switch requires more effort.
After a discussion with the technician, decide what’s better for you to repair the machine, or to buy a new one that will be more advantageous price-wise.
It has electrical issues
We don’t know which issue is worse than this one, but one thing is clear: electricity and water don’t fit together. If you notice that the drum isn’t getting enough water and garments have a mushy smell after you get them out of the washing machine, consider stopping the cycle immediately.
These issues are mostly caused by the internal wiring, which is connected to the motor itself. If this happens to your old washing machine, prepare your budget because it’s time to buy a new appliance!
