One of my favorite plants is the orchid. Amazingly colored and very appealing to the eye of the beholder, orchids are one of the prettiest plants that people keep buying for their indoor spaces. And a lot of others don’t know how to properly take care of them. If you’re planning on getting an orchid in the near future, you might be interested in the following lines…

The needs of all tropical plants are highly specialized; these include strong indirect sunlight, soil designed for orchids, and infrequent watering. Because windows that face west and south are too hot and light in the afternoon, place orchids in windows that face north or east.

By observing the leaves of an orchid, you may determine how much light it receives: red-blushed leaves indicate too much sun, dark green leaves indicate insufficient sunlight, and light green leaves indicate a healthy plant. To avoid the roots getting soggy, give orchids a weekly watering and empty any standing water from the drip tray.
