1. Deodorize your laundry with baking soda

This is one amazing hack that I learned from my grandma, and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Baking soda is definitely one of the best and most budget-friendly ingredients everyone has to have in their kitchen. And the good thing is that baking soda can help you get rid of nasty smells from your laundry.

Baking soda has two purposes: for whites and for colors. It brightens colorful clothes and makes whites whiter when put in the washer. If you’d rather not use bleach, this is a good alternative. Alternatively, to give bleach a boost for lots of white items, add a half-cup of baking soda.

Small tip: Use baking soda in the rinse cycle in place of commercial fabric softeners if you find that your towels become less porous!
