What are the most common types of wasps?
As you probably know, wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets are all related species, and they all have painful stings. They can be particularly dangerous for people who are allergic to them.
Wasps could easily pose a threat to anyone who comes way too close to their nest, even if you’re not allergic. They might swarm out, oftentimes in large numbers, and sting anyone in their proximity. But be cautious, because some species of wasps are truly aggressive.
For instance, the mud dauber is particularly aggressive, and it even prays on other pests, like spiders. People can generally live with hives of mud daubers as long as they are in separate places.
