Never underestimate the power of a bad or good reference. If you’re going to sign a contract with a well-known company, look up their reviews to learn about other people’s experiences. If you’re dealing with an individual or business on a smaller scale, still aim to do your due diligence.
You may have family members, friends, or co-workers that have worked with that company or individual. This will help you make a well-informed decision on whether to sign the moving contract or not.
If the business is listed on Google, chances are you’ll find reviews there. Another option would be to look up the company on the Better Business Bureau site. Reviews can also help you determine whether the elements of a contract are accurate, as you’ll be able to compare what other people have received with what you’re being offered.
