4. Armyworms
Do you know those troublesome larvae that make the leaves of plants look like a “saw”? Well, they’re called Armyworms, and they are the most prevalent species of caterpillar in Australia.
Armyworms strip the leaves off plants and start feeding on them. Unfortunately, these larvae thrive and multiply in moist areas, so the only solution to get rid of them is a chemical insecticide. You need a product called Spinosad to treat this plant disease.
However, if you want to prevent the occurrence of these larvae, you can try applying dolomite to your lawn and borders to reduce the risk. Remember that regular grass trimming is also a great preventive measure as it makes it difficult for insects to lay their eggs there.
