Lamb’s ear
If you have never seen this plant before, then the name may be a little confusing. However. Lamb’s ear is a pretty plant that is covered in a soft puff that makes the leaves feel just like you would be touching velvet, or, as the name suggests, a lamb’s ear. They have this gorgeous silver-green color, and they also produce flowers. They generally look like cone-shaped spike-like flowers that are either purple or pink.
Much like with daffodils, this plant will keep both deer and rabbits away from your yard (with the added perk that this one is not toxic to them). Yet, bees and hummingbirds will love to come to visit your yard if you decide to add them to your landscape.
You will have to be careful not to overwater this plant, especially since it hates sitting in moist soil. It is better for you to wait for the soil to be really dry before you end up watering it again. You can even keep them in pots; just make sure they have good drainage and that if you live in a state that gets a ton of water, you end up putting them somewhere where they will not get a ton of water.
