Ajuga makes a great ground cover, especially in open areas such as natural woodland environments or slopes. Because it can spread quickly, you should plant these gorgeous flowers in areas where you don’t mind them taking over.
The tiny blue or purple flowers grow vertically around a stock reaching 1 foot in height. Ajuga blossoms from spring to summer having also quite attractive foliage on its own — newer purple-colored leaves mixed with low-growing light green leaves. These gorgeous flowers can attract hummingbirds, songbirds, and bees.
