Terra Cotta Pot Butterfly Feeder
Butterflies are lovely pollinators and add beautiful charm to a thriving garden. Generally, they’re attracted to bright, fragrant flowers and sweet scents. A DIY butterfly feeder is a fantastic way to attract and keep them around.
Your kids or grandkids will love chasing them around outside, and you can have a load of fun making and painting your butterfly feeder together.
What You’ll Need:
Brightly colored paints: Red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple attract butterflies best.
Paint brushes
Terra-cotta pot and saucer
Liquid Nails adhesive
Newspaper
Directions:
- First, ensure your terra-cotta surfaces are free of dust and dirt. Then, apply liquid nails to the base of your terra-cotta pot.
- Flip the pot over and attach it to the center of the bottom of the saucer. Place it somewhere safe and let the glue set overnight.
- Paint the pot and saucer while your DIY butterfly feeder is still upside down… This is your chance to get creative with the kiddos!
- Flip your feeder over and complete the top of the saucer. Have fun with different patterns and designs. Pro Tip: You can also use stencils to add some exciting ornaments.
