Refinish your tub instead of replacing it
If your eyes laid on that bathtub of yours, then hold your horses before rushing into anything! You should think of the total replacement of your bathtub as last resort, at least from a cost-saving perspective. Instead, you can try relining or refinishing it.
Bathtub and shower refinishing would be a great example of the famous “Repair and retain rather than remove.” However, if the problem is only a matter of aesthetics, and we’re talking here about a yellowed surface and maybe a crack or two, you can easily refinish your shower or bathtub.
It’s also worth mentioning that bathtub liner are never a permanent fix, nor as affordable as they seem. But bathtub refinishing? Way more inexpensive and it oftentimes looks even better.
