Do you have any plants that look great all year round?
The majority of people tend to believe that spring and summer are the most colorful times of the year because the plants in their gardens have time to shine and show off their beautiful colors and flowers.
But let’s not forget about the autumn season, which impresses us with bold and vibrant flower shades, such as yellow, orange, and red. But what if we tell you that there are a few plants that look amazing all year round, regardless of the season or weather?
You can make your garden look absolutely marvelous with some pretty foliage plants that will give your home a nice pop of color. Some of them might even flower too, so be ready to have the garden of your dreams every single day!
With that being said, here are 8 plants that look amazing year-round:

I love Coleus, but have only ever grown them indoors (when I lived Mid-Atlantic). So easy to propagate! So cheery and colorful! As to the rest, I live on the left coast, but visit my Mid-Atlantic birthplace in the East when I can…& so my ancestral burial grounds in PA, MD, and VA. The Hosta is most persistent, most hearty, and most beautiful for the wear & neglect in the rural, not-well-tended cemeteries that I visit in my family “rounds.” I love to see them, as they are also a part of my memories in front yards of my childhood…along the sidewalks, the entry-ways, decorative borders & urns…..

Of all the 8 hosta’s are a deer favorite I had so many varietys and they are now so small because deer start in spring nibbling these that the plants can;t catch up and if not eaten remain small. most of the plants you have shown are the same way, if you can come up with a deer free list my garden might look like they use too.
Thanks … however so many are candy for the deer herd that visits my garden! So far, they haven’t consumed the nine bark. The rest are down to nubbins. Any other suggestions???

Usually plants that are purple in color, such a English lavender and Spanish lavender, are deer resistant. Plants like mint are good too. Boxwoods are another. Everything else I love the deer love too.

We use Liquid Fence which can be purchased at Lowe’s, Home Depot, any hardware store, Amazon. It does work.
We had professional landscaping done Spring of 2020. We have woods behind us which is part of a huge cemetery that is down the hill from our back yard. We get deer constantly. They do not bother our plants and flowers.
It stinks, but really works!
Which of these plants, if any, are deer resistent?
