Mistake #1: Letting Weeds Dominate Your Garden

Weeds are easiest to manage when they’re little. Merely cut off the tops of those pesky annual weed seedlings every few weeks, and dig out young perennials while they still have a small root.

If you allow them to get unruly, before long, you’ll have a massive problem on your hands. Weeds tend to grow fairly quickly. Annuals grow flowers and set seeds within a short period of time.

While perennial weeds will take hold and grow from even the smallest pieces of root. By weeding just little but often, you can avoid weeds becoming an issue in your garden, and you’ll keep your borders weed-free.
