6. Zinnias

If you’re late to the party and it’s already past spring, but you didn’t figure out which plants are suitable for your garden, we’ve got your back! Zinnias are cute flowers that will add a splash of color to your backyard, and the good news is that you’ll enjoy seeing them until autumn’s first frost.

Zinnia seeds can be sown in the summer, in the first week of July, and you’ll wait around 60 to 70 days for them to flower. Reasons to plant them? Well, these flowers require low maintenance; they grow super fast and are like magnets for butterflies! To help them bloom again, you must cut the flowers every time they start to dry. Zinnias enjoy full sun and well-draining soil and are perfect in small gardens.
