6. Aloe

You’ve probably used aloe vera gel to treat a scratch or sunburn at some point in your life. But did you know that the aloe vera plant is also great for helping you sleep?

This household plant releases oxygen at night, purifying the air and helping you breathe easier during your sleep. Plus, aloe is also excellent at removing harsh chemicals from the air, such as formaldehyde and benzene.

When you first plant your aloe, get ready for generations of offspring to follow — they are very prolific. Aloe enjoys lots of sunlight, so keep it on your windowsill next to your lavender.
