12. Get a storage ottoman

We’re almost done with these tips on how to increase storage space in your gorgeous home, but we can’t end this article without talking about a smart ottoman.

This home item is incredible for plenty of uses, from serving as a rest for your tired feet to extra seating for when you have friends over, and it can even serve as a coffee table if you place a tray on top of it.

If you’re looking for an ottoman, don’t just settle for one that only serves as seating when you can get one that also comes with under-lid storage, so you can stash some extra cozy blankets and maybe some books too.

You can find an ottoman like this in your local furniture store, or you can get one that has plenty of storage space from online shops. For instance, this one from Amazon is very cozy, budget-friendly, and looks great with the majority of decor styles.
