Use a craft knife to cut around the template and peel away the paper above the cut.

Whether an arranging project went wrong or you’re tired of looking at holes you’ve left around the house, concealing your wall blemishes is a weekend-worthy project.

You can quickly repair nail holes and other minor imperfections using a putty knife and surfacing compound. For larger holes, though, place an adhesive patch over the area and spread an all-purpose drywall compound over it with a trowel.

Depending on the dimensions of the holes, you might need to let the mixture dry overnight. Then, just paint over the patch when it’s dry.
