2. African black beetle

One problem for your lawn could be represented by this small African black beetle that can destroy your entire lawn.

How do you know that this beetle is the issue? Well, you can dig a shovel into the soil, and if you find a significant number of beetles there, then you can be sure they are the cause and you need to start treating the plants! If you find only a few on your lawn, then treatment is not necessary.

Another way to confirm that the black beetle is the culprit is to take a bucket of soapy water and pour it onto the lawn. If more than 20 insects show up, then you will know for sure.

How do the plants look when infested with the African black beetle? Well, the tips of the leaves start turning yellow and take on a straw-like appearance.

If you find yourself in such a situation, you should know that the solution is a water-soluble powdered insecticide. You can use a sprayer to get rid of the disease.
