The spider plant’s popularity has grown significantly in recent years as a result of its proven benefits in improving indoor air quality. According to the same NASA study, it’s one of the best plants to remove formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, toluene, and benzene from the air. The best part? It releases oxygen even during the night.

Not only are spider plants great at killing airborne viruses and bacteria, but they are also perfect for beginners since they are so easy to grow. They need water every few days, so you won’t need to worry too much about caring for them. And before you know it, this lovely houseplant will send out shoots that eventually turn into baby spider plants, so you’ll be able to expand your collection.
