3. Golden Chain Tree

…This small tree will make you think of a relaxing sunny day spent with a nice book under its branches!

The Golden Chain Tree offers you a great landscape when it blooms in late spring and early summer. It has a lot of hanging clusters that are full of vibrant yellow flowers that will create the perfect landscape for your home.

4. Saucer Magnolia

The fourth small tree on our list is called Saucer Magnolia and it has such pretty flowers, that you’ll want to take pictures with it every time you’ll see it. Its blooms are large and colorful and can be in shades of pink, white, and even purple during the mid to late spring.

In order to grow as beautiful and as healthy as possible, you should do a bit of research before buying a small tree like this, because there are some types that might suffer from flower destruction due to late frosts.

Would be helpful if the zones the trees will grow in were included.

I have crepe myrtles – but his year (first time in about 40 years) the bark scale invaded our neighborhood – any recommendations for what to do – sprayed with Neem oil – and cut severely infected branches.

I like Rose of Sharon aka Althea. It comes in several colors—white, purple and pink are the colors I’m familiar with. It can be trimmed to look more tree-like or allowed to grow as a bush. My mother grew them when I was young.

Surprised to see the first picture of One I had out in California.

I forgot it’s name and wanted to get one for the NY area

Had a Japanese Maple in Woodland Hills, CA. It was supposed to be a miniature but it got reallly big. It was a beauty when the seasons changed. I do miss it.
