Marsh Marigold

If you love hiking, you definitely remember the marsh marigolds covering a small and boggy area with their beautiful yellow blooms. They’re so pretty, you will never understand how they can thrive in muddy soils! The plants work very well around water features, especially around ponds.

What’s even more amazing about them is that they can also grow in standing water. Marsh marigolds can reach between 12 to 18 inches in height and spread. They are usually low-maintenance, but you should make sure they will get some shade during the hottest months. When it comes to light, it would be the best to keep marigolds in full sun, or even partial sun.

Yellow Trout Lily

The yellow trout lily is commonly known as yellow adder’s tongue. This beautiful plant thrives in wet woodlands, but also alongside streams in North America. When it comes to light, they would rather live in partial or even full shade. It is by far the perfect plant if you have a ton of shade in your garden.
