4. Natural repellent

If you want to keep deer away from your garden, you can welcome your DIY spirit into the game because I have some tricks you can use. As we’ve previously said, these adorable animals rely heavily on their sense of smell to guide them to their next meal, which means that you have to learn how to play with it in order to get the results that you want.

For instance, I’ve talked to many gardeners about this issue, and they all told me that you can confuse a deer’s sense of smell by playing with some strong aromas that they don’t like as much.

For instance, you can use some hot pepper spray, rotten egg and garlic mixtures, or you can even hand fabric softener strips on your trees or leave some soap bars at different corners of your garden to keep them away from your plants.

However, this is a trial-and-error method, which means that you have to try all of these natural repellents to see which one works best. Be patient, switch things up, and your garden will be fine!
