16 Ways to Make Your House Feel More Expensive

Focus on your window treatments.

Full-length curtains are the best way to make your space feel more expensive and custom-made. On top of that, hanging your curtains very high will make the ceilings look higher, and as we all know, a high ceiling is oftentimes associated with a luxurious interior.

If you decide to use curtains, you have to make sure you hang them full length but also hang the rod wide and high. You also want to have curtain panels that are wide and have a good amount of fabric, so they’ll create plenty of folds. It will make them look better.

And if you ask me, short curtains are a big no-no, so in case you can’t go long, you’d better opt for Roman shades or beautiful woven blinds instead. If you’ve got some cheap metal blinds with kinks in them, they’d better go!
