Bleeding heart

This vine is also known by many other names, such as bag flower, glory tree, or glory bower, just to name a few. However, its more distinctive one is the bleeding heart, which comes from the stunning aspect of this flower. The vine, when blossoming, forms these amazing flowers with their signature heart-shaped center, from which a white calyx with a ruby-red corolla dorps down. Together they form a drop-like shape, hence the “bleeding heart” name, which is very descriptive.

Besides the fact that this vine is going to make your yard stunning, it is also a deer repellant, as the doe-eyed mammals do not like this plant at all. It works amazingly if you make use of the vine properties and wind it through a trellis alongside the edge of your garden or even on your fence.

Not only will it give a tropical look to the garden, but it will also be able to give you some shade when it grows out and protect you from curious deer!
