Outdated Home Trend: Ferns On Overdrive

Sometime back in the 90s, ferns took over everyone’s homes all of a sudden, and living rooms all looked like greenhouses. Now don’t get us wrong. This is a gorgeous plant. But having one…or five in every room of your house is just too much.

Moderation is key in placing this plant around the house. But it’s also advisable because of health reasons. If you have ferns in your bedroom, they can cause headaches because of carbon dioxide emissions.

If someone in your home has allergies, ferns are your worst enemies. On top of that, think about all that watering you have to go through to keep the plant fresh. A lot of stress, isn’t it?

But if you’re reluctant to lose the ferns, you could also change how they’re presented by putting them in vases and glass jars in bunches at different heights in your home.

Our humble opinion? If you’re a big lover of plants, in general, consider replacing the ferns with some more diverse ornamental plants.
