Landscaping Mistake: Forgetting to trim your bushes and hedges

Trimming your bushes and hedges is an essential part of landscaping. An overgrown hedge or bush can make or break a beautiful landscape. Failing to cut and maintain them will make your yard look messy and overgrown.

So trimming down any excess growth can keep your yard looking fresh and maintained. For it to look its best, ensure you don’t make the mistake of forgetting to prune them every once in a while.

Landscaping Mistake: DON’T make raised beds too big!

If you’re building raised beds for the first time, you probably won’t be able to resist going big. Pros say this is a huge no-no because the weight of the soil may cause the boards to bow and separate, leaving you with a tough repair job.

Ideally, raised beds should be at most four feet wide and about 18 inches deep, but they can be as long as you preffer them to be. So, in this case, bigger isn’t always better!
