#7 Hand weeding

When all else fails, you can always rely on good old-fashioned hand weeding. All you need is a dandelion weeder that won’t cost you more than $10 and you’re ready to go. The forked end tool has been used for centuries to weed by hand because it helps loosen the soil and allows you to get the weeds out with little to no difficulty.

If you cannot be kneeling in the soil for too long, there are also long handle versions, which will allow you to get the weeds out while standing up. You will just have to make sure that you are paying attention to get rid of the roots completely, or else these pesky plants will keep growing back. The next best option would be to try to pull them out by hand, but this would take more time and effort.
