2. Acorns, pine cones, and dried leaves

When it comes to natural elements, designers also recommend using pine cones, acorns, and dried leaves for a more intimate autumnal look. Where can you find them? In decoration stores mostly, but if you are looking to be FRUGAL, you can find all of them in nature.

Put your shoes on, take your backpack, and go explore the city. You’ll be surprised at how many acorns you can find! But be careful and inspect them to make sure they do not have bugs before bringing them into the house with you. After that, give them a thorough wash. Specialists recommend “roasting” them a bit in the oven for a couple of hours at 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

You are free to use your acorns however you choose to decorate. Use them as festive vase fillers by adding leaves, pinecones, and tiny seeds. You can even paint the bottom portions orange to make them look like acorn pumpkin decorations. For your front entrance, make an acorn wreath or sprinkle them over a coffee table.
