An overabundance of statement pieces!

No one is saying you cannot have decorative pieces and even a few garden statues here and there. But generally, gardens only have one statement piece and then a few supporting ones, not a myriad of garden gnomes and statues that clutter the yard, some of which may have no connection to one another. Not only would it make gardening in such a space a hassle, but it will also make your whole yard seem smaller than it is.

Your garden is truly important and an important space, especially if you like to host people, and having too many statues and knickknacks will give the impression that you are boxed in when you are trying to relax outside. It can also happen that the pieces will clash with one another. We know that showing your style is part of why we like to decorate our gardens, but we should do it within reason and make sure that we do not make things worse for ourselves.

If you already feel like you have a bit too many statement pieces, maybe it’s time to go through them and see which ones you truly want around and which ones are better rehomed.
