Pothos

This is one of the most popular houseplants, commonly used in residences and offices alike. We understand why, considering how stunning it is. But it can cause allergies, so the plant should be avoided if you have any respiratory issues.

Pothos is often used as a houseplant because of its attractive foliage and capability to grow in many places. It also flourishes in low-light conditions.

Nevertheless, it can cause severe allergic reactions like watery eyes and sneezing when some individuals come into contact with the leaves or flowers of this plant.

It produces pollen that causes irritation to people with allergies and causes coughing, sneezing, and even a runny nose. This plant has been known to cause allergies for those who are sensitive to dust mites, pollen, mold spores, and any other allergens in house settings.
