8. Bamboo Palm

The bamboo palm is another great plant that scored pretty well in its ability to remove airborne viruses and bacteria from the air. This plant also effectively fights off benzene — a chemical used to make detergents, dyes, rubbers, and lubricants — and trichloroethylene, an industrial solvent.

Plus, if you’re dealing with dry air in your house, the bamboo palm is the perfect solution! With its long palm leaves and slender stems, this houseplant increases a room’s humidity levels, making it ideal, especially during the dry winter months.

Not only do bamboo plants kill airborne viruses and bacteria, but they are also easy to grow and take care of, and they rarely suffer from diseases or pests.
