Orchids

Orchids are one of the most well-known and popular indoor plants you could have in your home. They’re gorgeous and provide an aesthetic appeal to every room. Yet, they can be a total nightmare for people who suffer from respiratory issues.

This particular plant is among the worst indoor plants to keep if you have allergies because they release allergenic pollen. And this type of pollen is released into the air when the orchid sheds its leaves.

So you should particularly avoid keeping it in your bedroom if you have allergies. Orchids aren’t recommended for people with asthma, either. They’re susceptible to indoor pollutants like mold, dust, pollen, and mildew.

This kind of plant requires high humidity levels, which might lead to the growth of mold spores in the air…which is the last thing you’d want to deal with if you have respiratory issues!
