Outdated Home Trend: Plaid

Well, the 70s called…They want their plaid back! People printed it on practically every piece of furniture, including their bedspread material. If one was to go back in time, they could even see plaid as wallpaper!

This excessive use of material for every interior decoration made the entire home look dull and monotonous. Plaid can be mixed with some other decor materials to give your house a great feel. The material IS obviously great, but in small doses.

As always, moderation is key. Also, you can now make many combinations with plaid that will cancel out your home’s monotonous feel. Try out some colorful plaid paneling, for example, a trend that mixes plaid of different sizes, colors, and even textures.

You could also try out some other types of patterns that will bring variety to your interior’s decor. The mix of designs and styles will make your home look and feel more vibrant and lively.
